Hope we all enjoyed our Independence Day holiday, as I did (my mom turned 86! last week).

• First today, a look at why so many younger Democrats are so angry with Israel…and the problems that’s caused/causing for PA’s only two state-wide elected Democrats.

• Then a look back at the 20th Anniversary (yesterday) of the PA Legislature’s infamous midnight (actually 2 am) vote to give themselves a big pay raise. After the huge blow back - it was the first political scandal in the modern-ish digital age - the raise was rolled back for all but the judiciary, though a Democratic Supreme Court Justice did lose his retention vote that year.

• Third, an interesting tidbit on one of the GOP’s rumored gubernatorial candidates.
