Welcome to PPD’s post-election Wednesday edition - I’m your guide, GOP political consultant Christopher Nicholas.
It was a good night for the PA GOP as they carried all 5 state-wide races. Of the state’s 6 state-wide executive offices, Republicans now hold 4 of them - all but governor and Fetterman.
As we write this morning, State Treasurer Stacy Garrity received the most votes in the state, followed very closely by President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump beat Kamala Harris by about 175,000 votes here. Remember that he won in 2016 by 44,000 votes and lost in 2020 by 80,000 — so by modern standards this was a blow-out win. He is stting at just under 51%, which will probably come down a bit more as the overseas ballots come in.
The 2 counties people fussed over, Erie and Northampton, both flipped back narrowly to Trump. He won Bucks County and Centre County too.
Incumbent GOP Auditor General Tim DeFoor also cruised to re-election, and Republican Dave Sunday took back the Attorney General’s off…
